Loyola University Maryland Silk Paperweight - Elegant Desk Accessory for Graduation Gifts, Office Decor & Home Study

In 1910 through 1915 the American Tobacco Company offered collegiate silks as an incentive premium in packages of Egyptienne Luxury Cigarettes. The series contained 150 colleges and universities with each silk containing the seal or coat-of-arms and the school’s name below. They are a rare and very colorful collector’s item that make a great gift for students and graduates alike. Each silk is beautifully presented in a glass paperweight.

Each silk measures approximately 1 ¾” x 3 ¼’ and is mounted in a glass paperweight on a base of blue striped oxford fabric, of which sizes may vary. Choose from 40 schools shown. 

These silks are antique so some variance in color and shape is to be expected.
